- Saddle Bronc Riding is a judged Rodeo event featuring a bucking horse and rider fitted with a distinct, hornless saddle and a soft braided rein. After a gate is opened releasing horse from a bucking chute, the rider attempts to cover (remain mounted) for eight seconds without touching the horse with the free hand. Saddle Bronc Riding emerged from the skills needed in preparing rough stock for domestic use.
